The Christianity Community at Mkabogo village, Kalinzi in Kigoma region, after a bondage of over 60 years, has introduced a Christian Abattoir, where slaughtering animals shall observe the Christianity norms and rituals. The abattoir is situated at the public market place.

A good number of the church clergies have been arrested, remanded and finally charged of slaughtering animals against the Islamic shariah. Some have fled the country seeking religious asylum overseas as they protested the Islamic monopoly over the slaughtering animals.

For a long time, the slaughtering exercise for both food and commercial, was monopolized by Muslims, which, in recently days, caused Christians-Muslims fracas which elevated to the level of beheaded of Pastor Mathayo Kachila of Pentecostal Assemblies of God (P.A.G) at Buseresere in Geita by Muslims, on 11th February, 2013.

Rev. Bigombo, Chairman of the United Association of Churches at Mkabogo  village, said, that is one step forward, towards complete freedom of worship and liberate themselves from bondage of religious preference which existed for a century in Tanzania.

Tanzania is a secular state constitutionally.
