ANOTHER CHURCH IS BURNT IN KAGERA TANZANIA

Un identified persons on 22nd February, 2015 at dawn ,using  petrol,  torched  another church in Kagera, Tanzania. This time is the Baptist church at Nkindo Parish, Itahwa village, Hamugembe ward, Bukoba Urban District, Kagera region in Tanzania.

Pastor Themistocles Sebastian said, the total damage of the church properties worth tsh.15,000,000/-. Pastor Themistoclesaid the incident was reported at the Kagera Central Police and filed no BUK.RB/2141/2015 of 23rd February, 2015.

“No any accused person has been arrested so far.”  Said Kagera Police Commander Henry Mwaibambe, "but we are still investigating to detect the perpetrators.

  Bukoba is reported to be a Muslim-dominated town of about 100,000 situated on the shore of Lake Victoria bordering Kigoma, which also has a local reputation as a Centre for Islamist extremism.
So far some religious leaders and lay Christians have been killed, while others have been attacked by extremist Muslims wielding acid. Some of the perpetrators have been arrested and charged, yet their cases continue in courts.
