ARE WE NOT OPTIMISTIC TOWARDS PEACE RESTORATION STRATERGIES IN TANZANIA?

I read with dismay the article in the weekly Islamic newspaper Al-Huda no.415 dated May 16-23, 2013 pg.4 about Mwalimu Nyerere.

The article is designed to portray Mwalimu Nyerere as not patriotic to his nation and a source of the current religious fracas in the land.

The article by Ahmad Hussein writing about Nyerere says: what he did in favor of his church when on power  was meant to sabotage patriotism and Islam. Nyerere was a devoted Catholic.

The article went further and included former President Benjamin Mkapa as heir of  Mwalimu Nyerere's sabotage against Islam and Muslims. Both Nyerere and Mkapa are Christians belong to the Catholic.

Does the reporter mean the other two Presidents of Tanzania who are all Muslims patriotic to the nation than their former Christian ones?

What kind of a message is he intending to send to the public? Does the killing of Christians and Muslims clergies today have direct connection with Mwalimu Nyerere? Does Nyerere deserve that?

I assume such story shall escalate the antagonism in religious and political issues in Tanzania and set back the peace restoration process.

Are we all optimistic towards  the efforts by the government to restore the disappeared peace in our dearly land?
